The Stockroom at 230 is a unique, urban venue located in the heart of downtown, on Raleigh‘s bustling Fayetteville Street. We recently had the great pleasure of catering a wonderful wedding here. The wedding reception got started a little later in the afternoon after the weather had cooled off a bit. Our butlers provided some tasty hors d’ oeuvres to the guests as they mingled. Featured above, Ahi Tuna on Wonton Chip with Wasabi Aioli. Next, guests enjoyed a true southern delicacy – miniature Chicken and Waffles. These small, hand breaded chicken bites were fried to a crispy golden brown, served on small waffles, drizzled in locally produced honey and topped with powdered sugar. Can it get much better than that?
The Stationary Hors d’Oeuvres included a delectable tray of Imported and Domestic Cheeses with a Seasonal Fruit Garnish with Assorted Crackers on the side. Our famous Mango and Cilantro Chicken Salad in mini Phyllo Cups anchored the other side of the table.
The night’s dinner buffet started off with our fresh summer salad of Romaine Lettuce with Toasted Walnuts, Mandarin Oranges, Dried Cranberries and Goat Cheese. The salad was tossed with our homemade Citrus Vinaigrette – a perfect choice for an August day in North Carolina.
The wedding guests were then treated to Petite BBQ Sliders with Slaw, and Aioli as well as trays of Pesto Grilled Shrimp. The sides were our house made Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans Almandine. The dinner buffet was anchored by a Rosemary Crusted Beef carving station. The top round was served with assorted rolls, butter and an Onion Marmalade topping. Wholegrain Mustard and Horseradish sauces were provided for spice.
